Art comes through my heart. As I expand in my connection to Spirit and All that is Divine, I expand in my creativity.
I live in Vermont where Beauty is easily accessible. The seasons are prominent here, and each one has its own sense of Beauty. With an ever-changing seasonal landscape, there are always new inspirations and colors to explore, and new light to play with. I used to think of myself as an observer of all of these changes, but I now understand that I am a part of them, as each one of us is. I change the landscape with my footprints in the snow, my hand playing in the river water, my moving of stones into cairns, my smile at the birds as they take flight. The birds notice me, as I notice them, and so do the water and the stones and the snow, and all that is around me. Every element and every consciousness encourages and influences my creations. I spend just as much time, if not more, expanding my spiritual connection to Gaia, to the Divine, to all the Beings around me, as I do creating with my hands. Creating is not just about taking a photograph or knitting a sweater. It is about how I stand in my consciousness; it is about planting a garden and watching it grow day by day; it is about opening my heart to all Beings; and walking my land daily to hear the stories unique to each moment, each plant, each animal, and each whispering of the wind.
